SSMTP Configuration

Dial-Up Settings

For customer using other ISP rather then Worldlink.

SSMTP Configuration steps

1 Open Outlook Express

Click Tools and then Accounts

Click the Mail tab



4 In the Display Name field, type your Full name or your Company name. (this will let the person you send email to know who the message is coming from)

Click Next



6 In the E-mail address field, type your email address i.e. username@wlink.com.np

7 Click Next



8 At the top of the screen it should read My incoming mail server is a POP3 server

9 In the Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) field, type in pop3.wlink.com.np

10 In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server field, type smtp.wlink.com.np

11 Click Next



12 In the Account name field, type your wlink username

13 In the Password field, type your password

14 Make sure that Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) is NOT checked

15 Click Next



16 Click Finish

17 After you have successfully configured the email again click Tools and then Accounts

18 Click the Mail tab

19 Highlight pop3.wlink.com.np account and click Properties


20 Click on Servers



21 Change smtp to ssmtp at Outgoing mail(SMTP) field

22 Check on 'My server requires authentication' and Press Setting Tab



23 Check on LOG ON USING and fill the required Account name , Password provided by your ISP and click OK

24 Now, Click on Advenced tab and change the Default port of SMTP from 25 to 465 and check the option 'This server requires a secure connection (SSL) and click OK
