Common Errors experienced while connecting to Cable Internet

2. Error 769: The specified destination is not reachable, OR,

Error 633: The modem (or other connecting device) is already in use or is not configured properly, OR,

Error 692: There was a hardware error in the modem, OR,

 
[Fig. 11]  

Error: Could not find any dial-up devices exposed by the PPP over Ethernet Protocol.

= These errors occur when the Network Adapter in your computer cannot be accessed by the dialing program. Verify that you have not disabled your Network Adapter (see Fig. 3 & 4). Go to Control Panel, then Network Connections; if any of the LAN or High-Speed Internet connections is disabled, right-click and enable it (see Fig. 2.a, 2.b & 2.c).

If the problem persists, reinstall your network adapter per the instructions in the manual of the network adapter.
