follow the steps below
to connect and start
using the SIP device
(PAP2) you purchased
from WorldLink.
Technical Information:
Your SIP Device comes
preconfigured to get
an IP address from the
broadband router in
your network. If you
require that the device
be assigned static -
public or private IP,
then you can do so by
following the information
on Step 2.

Step 1
explains how to connect
the Phone Adapter to your
network and telephones
or fax machines. Shown
below is a connection
diagram displaying a typical
setup with WorldLink Internet,
Router, SIP Device and
a phone line. |

Using a telephone cable,
connect your telephone
to the PHONE 1 port of
the SIP Device. |

Connect the included
Ethernet network cable
to the ETHERNET port of
the SIP Device. |
| |

| |
Connect the other
end of the network cable
to one of Ethernet ports
of your Router. |
 |
Connect the included
power adapter to the
POWER port of the Phone
Adapter.

Connect the other
end to an electrical outlet.
|
 |
The Power, Ethernet,
and Phone LEDs on the
SIP device will be solidly
lit when the device
is ready for use.
When finished, the front
and back of your device
should look like below:

The installation
of the SIP device is now
complete. You may pick
up the phone and start
making calls. |

Step 2
explains how to configure
the static – public
or private IP on your
SIP device. Please continue
if you have the required
knowledge or prior experience.

Complete the device
installation by following
the information on Step
1. |

Now, proceed to set
the IP Address, Subnet
Mask and Default Gateway
manually to the PAP2device
:
In the example below,
we are trying to setup
the IP Address as 192.168.1.8,
Subnet Mask as 255.255.255.0
and gateway as 192.168.1.1.

Press ****101# then
press 0 (Disabling DHCP
service on the device)
Note: By default,
DHCP is enabled in the
device.

Press ****111#192*168*1*8#
(Setting IP address ) |

Press****121#255*255*255*0#
(Setting Subnet Mask) |
|
|
 |
Press****131#192*168*1*1#
(Setting Default Gateway) |

Now, to verify if the
parameters have been setup
correctly, please press
the following:
a. ****100# (Checking
DHCP)
b. ****110# (Checking
IP Address)
c. ****120# (Checking
Subnet Mask)
d. ****130# (Checking
Default Gateway)

Switch off your SIP
device for few seconds
and switch it back on. |
|
|
 |
Check if the telephone
set gives the dial tone.
If it gives dial tone,
then you are ready to
use. Press *01 in your
phone set to check your
current balance. |
