SSMTP
Configuration steps |

Open
Outlook Express |
|
|
|
|
2. |
Click Tools and then
Accounts .
|
|
|
|
|
3. |
Click the Mail tab |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
4. |
In the Display Name field, type your Full name or your Company name. (this will let the person you send email to know who the message is coming from) |
|

|
|

Click Next |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

In the E-mail address field, type your email address i.e. username@wlink.com.np |
|
|
|
|

Click Next |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

|

At the top of the screen it should read My incoming mail server is a POP3 server . |

In the Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) field, type in pop3.wlink.com.np |
|
|
|
|
10. |
In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server field, type smtp.wlink.com.np |
|
|
|
|
11. |
Click Next. |

|
12. |
In the Account name field, type your wlink username. |
|
|
|
|

In the Password field, type your password . |
|
|
|
|
14. |
Make sure that Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) is NOT checked. |

Click Next |

|
|
|
|
|
|
|

Click Finish |

17. |
After you have successfully configured the email again click Tools and then Accounts . |
|

Click the Mail tab. |
|
|

Highlight pop3.wlink.com.np account and click Properties. |
|

Click on Servers . |
|
|
|
|
|

|
|
|
|

Change smtp to ssmtp at Outgoing mail(SMTP) field. |

Check on 'My server requires authentication' and Press Setting Tab |

|
|
|
|
|
|

Check on LOG ON USING and fill the required Account name , Password provided by your ISP and click OK. |
|
|
|
|

Now, Click on Advenced tab and change the Default port of SMTP from 25 to 465 and check the option 'This server requires a secure connection (SSL) and click OK. |
