What do I need to use the service?
To use the service, you need a computer/laptop equipped with a sound card and a speaker/headphone and loaded with Microsoft Windows(MAC Operating System not supported.)
   
In what denominations are the cards available?
The card is available in Rs.250 and Rs.500 denominations.
   
How do I get started?
Buy WorldLink’s WorldCall card and follow the instructions on the back side of the card to get it started.
   
Does the service work over dial-up Internet?
Yes, the service works over dial-up Internet. However, the voice quality will not be as good as with broadband Internet connection (wireless or cable).
   
Can I use the service with a SIP device or phone?

Yes, you can.

WorldLink supplies Linksys PAP2, a SIP phone adapter. The device enables you to make calls using a regular telephone set, eliminating the need for a computer.

Are there any additional charges?
No, there are no additional charges whatsoever. No call connection charges, no surcharges, no hidden costs!
   
What is the validity of the card?
The Rs.250 card is valid for 90 days after first use. Similarly, the Rs. 500 card is valid for 180 days after first use.
   
Can the card be recharged?
No, the balance on the card cannot be recharged. Once the card expires or the balance is depleted (whichever occurs first), the card may not be used any further and should be discarded.
   
How can I view the balance on my card?
You can log into our self-service portal at http://www.worldlink.com.np/worldcall using the account number and PIN on your card. Once logged in, you can view card activity and balance.
   
What is the voice quality of calls?
Voice quality depends upon the quality of the Internet connection and the processing power of your computer. While placing a call, make sure you are not running any other applications that consume Internet bandwidth. If you are using WorldLink’s Internet service, the quality should be comparable to ISD calls.
   
Is on-line addition of fund possible in WorldCall calling account?
No, on-line addition of fund is not possible in WorldCall calling account. Once the balance mentioned in the WorldCall card gets depleted, another card must be purchased and used.
 
Does WorldLink provide personalized customer care service to WorldCall customers place?
Yes, WorldLink provides personalized customer care service to WorldCall customers. But, per visit charge of Rs.250 will be made for such types of field visits.
 
Is it possible to make calls in Nepal from abroad through WorldCall calling card?
No, calls can't be made to Nepal through WorldCall calling card. WorldCall card enables its users to make calls anywhere outside Nepal, but not to Nepal from outside destinations.
 
Is it possible to make local calls/STD calls inside Nepal through WorldCall calling card?
No, it is not possible to make local calls/STD calls inside Nepal through WorldCall calling card.
 
Can both the callers speak and be heard at the same time?
Yes, both the callers can speak and be heard at the same time. WorldCall is a Full Duplex System. Full Duplex System means a connection that allows communication in two directions simultaneously at once.
 
Will WorldCall service work on CDMA Internet connection?
No, WorldCall service will not work on CDMA Internet connection. The types of Internet connections on which WorldCall service will work are Dial Up Internet and Broadband Internet connections (Cable Internet and Wireless Internet).
 
Will the account balance deplete if calls are not received?
No, the account balance will not deplete if calls are not received. No matter how long the calls go ringing, charges will not be made if calls are not received.
   
What are the country codes of different destinations?
List of country codes of required destinations is available in the country code box of WorldCall Dialer.
   
Can the PIN number mentioned in WorldCall card be changed?
No, the PIN number mentioned in WorldCall card can't be changed. The same
PIN number must be used through out the life of the card to make calls.
   
Can WorldCall card be used to send Faxes?
No, WorldCall card can't be used to send Faxes. It can only be used to make
