Electronic Mail

Electronic mail, shortened to e-mail or email, is a method of composing, sending, and receiving messages over electronic communication systems. The term e-mail applies both to the Internet e-mail system based on the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) and to intranet systems allowing users within one company or organization to send messages to each other.

This is a multi-user dial-up UUCP account which can be used on a single workstation or in a LAN environment to issue unlimited e-mail addresses using the cc: Mail software. Subscribers also enjoy full-internet benefits, due to the many gateway services online.
