FIREFOX 1.0 RELEASED

Firefox 1.0, a browser based on the Mozilla Foundation's open-source development work, has been released on Tuesday, 9th November 2004 following a two-month preview that drew 8 million downloads of the alternative Web browser.

Firefox's features include Tabbed Browsing for viewing multiple Web pages in one window, Pop-up Blocking, enhanced Privacy and Security features, Smarter Search and Live Bookmarks for viewing RSS Feeds etc. The browser runs on Windows, Linux and Mac OS X machines and is available for free download at
